Welcome to the Ladybirds Playgroup and Pre-school website
The Playgroup is held in Corscombe Village Hall which was the former village school, It has two large bright airy rooms as well as outside play space in the form of an enclosed playground and a playing field.
Corscombe is a lovely rural village setting between Dorchester and Crewkerne near the Dorset / Somerset border. The playgroup is a short drive from Beaminster, Crewkerne and the surrounding areas.
With the increasing emphasis on Early Years Foundation Stage and goals set for the children we are looking forward to the challenge of keeping the play in playgroup. We enjoy good relations with reception staff at Sticklands at Evershot and plan to make regular trips to school for special occasions.
Playgroup Sessions
Playgroup sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9.15am - 12.15 plus lunch club until 1pm.
Our newsletter will tell you what activities the playgroup provides for your children.
We are staffed by fully qualified playleaders. We can take preschool children from 2 years upwards.
Parent and Toddler Sessions
Parent and Toddler drop-in sessions run on
Tuesdays between 10.00am and 12 noon. All are welcome from newborn upwards for a chat and a chance for parents and children to socialise.
We now have the help of a playleader for both sessions. All refreshments are wholesome and/or homemade wherever possible.
